2. Reading: Read every day for 10 minutes. Have your student read to you, with you or repeat you as you read. Ask questions while you read!! Model reading concepts such as tracking with your finger, turning pages and reading left to right. Think out loud for your student, show how pictures and words connect, discuss questions such as who, what, where and when. 

 

Spelling (1st grade): Practice spelling words for a spelling quiz on Friday. Click on the spellers choice files below to see some activity suggestions. 

 

Language Arts: Letter of the Week Worksheet; Use the provided phonics book to work on the letter/ sight words of the week. 

 

Math: Practice addition/ subtraction flash cards 3x per week. Individual math pages will be sent home as skills are taught.
