Welcome to Mrs. York’s 2nd Grade SAS Class!

Dear Families,

I am Mrs. York and I will be your child’s 2nd grade teacher. This year your child will be working with both online platforms as well as pencil and paper practice. I will discuss the curriculum in more detail during our Back to School Night on August 31st.

The classroom temperature fluctuates between extremes and I generally keep it on the cooler side. I highly recommend that you send a sweater for your child to keep in the classroom and use throughout the year.

Your child will bring their homework folder home daily. Please look through, and empty it each night. The pocket in front contains information that needs to be looked over and returned to school the following day.

Please contact me with any questions or concerns that arise throughout the year. I check my email a few times a day but usually not in the evening. If something urgent arises please leave a message for me in the office and I will return your call as soon as I am available.
